Punishments have apparently been handed down in connection to an incident that occurred during the game Saturday night during the boys’ basketball game between University Heights Academy and Christian County. The announcement of the decision from the Kentucky High School Athletic Association was made in a very brief statement Monday afternoon.
The statement, which was released through the Christian County Public Schools, appeared to have been signed off on by athletic officials from both institutions.
The names of the players affected were not mentioned in the release, and the nature of the disciplinary action was not mentioned for either the central parties involved in the incident or for the players that left the benches during the incident.
The only details contained in the release were that ten players from University Heights and two from Christian County were players that left the bench area and received disciplinary action from the KHSAA.
