After losing a tough two-point game at home to the Todd County Central Lady Rebels earlier in the week, the Russellville Lady Panthers extracted a measure of revenge Friday night in Elkton. Russellville pulled away over the final sixteen minutes of the game and took a 50-40 13th District win on the Lady Rebels’ home floor.
The Lady Rebels led 13-11 after the opening quarter but then hit an offensive wall in the second. Russellville held Todd Central to one made field goal and two made free throws as the Lady Panthers battled back to take a 23-17 lead at the break.
The Russellville defense continued to control the game as the second half started. The Lady Panthers held the Lady Rebels to two made field goals and one made free throw in the third as they extended the lead out to 35-23 going into the final quarter.
The Lady Rebels got their offense going again in the fourth quarter but could not shut down the Russellville offense on the other end as the Lady Panthers were able to fend off any comeback and take the ten-point win.

Jamaia Burks was the only Todd Central player to hit double-figures with 14. Alexis Taylor finished with 9.
LaReesha Cawthorn led all scorers in the game with 17 points. Amiyah Collier added 14 for the Lady Panthers.
Todd Central drops to 13-11 with the loss. They are back in action Monday when they host South Warren.
