Fort Campbell High School alum Gianna Verdone won the Class A 100-meter hurdles at the Kentucky State Track and Field Meet in June.
This week, Verdone reached a pinnacle in the modeling world as she took to the runway at New York Fashion Week.
New York City is one of the “Big 4” fashion weeks along with ones held in Milan, Paris, and London. Fashion week allows designers to show off their work to buyers, the press, and the public. For models, it’s a chance for increased exposure.
Verdone got the coveted role of closing the show this week with a white dress she modeled for Zaco Australia.
Gianna’s brother already works as a model and Verdone was offered a contract while in high school.
She was honored at Fort Campbell High School when she returned in August to receive the ‘Iron Falcon Award’ for winning an individual state championship.
