Caldwell’s Girls Win at Whitesville Trinity 53-36

Caldwell County’s girls traveled to the 3rd Region on Thursday and came back with a 53-36 victory over Whitesville Trinity.

The Lady Tigers, now 9-19, turned a 12-11 lead after one quarter into a 29-19 advantage at halftime.

Trinity (3-24) was within 38-31 through three quarters, but Caldwell outscored the Lady Raiders 15-5 in the fourth period to put the game away.

Tink Clark had a game-high 16 points to pace Caldwell while Med Thomas added 13 points and A.J. Hollowell had 10.

Trinity got 10 points apiece from Josie Aull and Kenzie McDowell.

It was Caldwell’s first win over the Lady Raiders in three tries.

The Lady Tigers have won three of their last four games. They will finish the regular season on Friday by hosting Livingston Central for a Senior Night girls and boys doubleheader.

Caldwell’s girls will then play Madisonville-North Hopkins on Monday in the semifinals of the 7th District tournament at Hopkins County Central.
