Lady Falcons Fall to Fort Knox in Regular-Season Finale (w/PHOTOS)

The Fort Campbell girls’ basketball team wrapped up regular-season play with a 51-29 loss to visiting Fort Knox on Saturday.  The Lady Falcons slipped to 2-19 ahead of an 8th-District tournament matchup with top-seeded Christian County on Tuesday.

The Lady Falcons led 5-4 behind four first-quarter points from Rosella Rajj, but Fort Knox took control in the second frame.

Te’Ari Cisse scored nine points to help the Lady Eagles outscore Fort Campbell 15-4 and take a 19-9 advantage into the halftime break.

Fort Knox put the game away in the third, with Asia Charles leading the way with 12 points.  Charles’ layup inside the final minute gave the Lady Eagles a 25-point cushion with a quarter to play.

Charlize Cruz and Rajj combined for 12 points over the final eight minutes, but the Lady Falcons couldn’t get any closer than 16.  Fort Knox won its third straight game to close out the regular season at 9-19.

Cruz and Rajj both finished with 13 points for the Lady Falcons, and Jaidah Ezceman led the way with 14 rebounds.

Fort Knox’s Cisse led all scorers with 19, and Leshay Jones scored 14.  Charles had 14 points and collected seven boards, and Kyra Kirkpatrick hauled down 15 rebounds.
