Caldwell County grad Derrin Boyd had 20 points as his Lipscomb Bisons pulled out an overtime road win in their regular-season finale on Friday.
Lipscomb is 19-12 overall and 11-7 in the ASUN Conference after beating Stetson 98-91 in Deland, Florida.
The two teams will get to see each other again on Tuesday. No. 4-seeded Stetson will host No. 5 Lipscomb in the quarterfinals of the ASUN Conference Tournament.

Down 81-80 on Friday, Stetson (17-12, 12-6) made the first of two free throws with 2.1 seconds to go to tie the game. However, the Hatters missed the second, sending the game to overtime.
Lipscomb outscored Stetson 17-10 in the extra period.
Both Lipscomb-Stetson matchups this season have gone to overtime. The Hatters won 86-80 Dec. 30 in Nashville.
Boyd was 8 of 12 from the floor in Lipscomb’s win in the rematch and made one of two 3-point attempts. He made all three of his free throw chances.

Boyd added six rebounds and two steals.
Jacob Ognacevic led Lipscomb with 29 points as five Bisons scored in double figures.
Boyd is second on the team in scoring this season at 10.3 points a game. He is also averaging 3.4 rebounds.
Boyd, a sophomore, has started all 31 games for Lipscomb.
