Former Caldwell County standout Derrin Boyd had 21 points Tuesday night as his Lipscomb Bisons advanced to the semifinals of the ASUN Conference Tournament.
Boyd was 6 of 10 from the field including 4 of 7 from 3-point range as fifth-seeded Lipscomb won at No. 4 Stetson 83-70 in quarterfinal round action on Tuesday in DeLand, Florida.

Boyd also grabbed three rebounds for Lipscomb, which took the lead and pulled away late to earn its second win over the Hatters in the last five days.
The Bisons won 98-91 in overtime in the regular-season finale at Stetson on Friday.
Boyd is now averaging 10.6 points a game this season.

Lipscomb, now 20-11, will next head to Kennesaw, Georgia, to take on top-seeded Kennesaw State (24-8) in an ASUN semifinal.
The Owls advanced with a 67-66 win over No. 9 Queens on Tuesday.
Tipoff at Kennesaw State is set for Thursday at 6 p.m.
