The Lyon County boys’ basketball team used a 19-0 run in the third quarter of Monday night’s 2nd-Region semifinal to knock out the Christian County Colonels and advance to Tuesday’s title game against Hopkinsville.

Travis Perry scored 20 points in the third, but Brady Shoulders also got in on the act with a dunk off a lob from Bradin Nelson for this Max’s Moment.

  1. We WKU alumni are still hoping he will come play ON THE HILL. I grew up in Laurel County , Kentucky in the 1950’s and started following the Sweet Sixteen, way back when schools like Ohio Co. and Breckenridge Co with Butch Beard were winning State Championships. The state championship was played at Freedom Hall in Louisville. I once took a Pep Club bus to see my brother play for Hazel Green (Now North Laurel) as they upset Louisville Central to play in the Final Four. I learned the state of Kentucky by following the 16 Regions from Paducah Tilghman in the west to the Ashland Tomcats in the East. I am 75 and live in Florida now, but I still follow the Greatest Show on Earth………Kentucky’s Sweet Sixteen
