If it had been a normal game situation, the Todd County Central Rebels had the win Monday in their preseason scrimmage against Greenwood. Through seven innings, the Rebels were up on the Gators 3-2, despite not having a hit in the game.

The two teams would end up playing 8 ½ innings with Greenwood scoring eight runs in the 8th and 9th for a total scrimmage score of 10-3.

Seven different Greenwood pitchers went one inning each, with none of the seven giving up a hit to the Rebels.

The Gators scored a run in the first and a run in the second. Todd Central plated all three of their runs in the bottom of the fourth, converting on three walks, a ground out, and two wild pitches.

The Rebels got solid pitching efforts from Jacob Brandon and Jase Paul Hampton. Brandon went three innings, giving up two runs on two hits, striking out five, and walking three. Hampton also went three innings, giving up no runs on one hit, striking out four, and walking just one.

Todd Central officially opens the season Monday evening when they host Fort Campbell.
