Hopkinsville senior Daisjaun Mercer signed to continue his football career with Miami (OH) on Friday in a ceremony alongside two of his Tiger teammates.
Mercer, an All-WKC 1st-Team selection on both sides of the ball, helped the Tigers to a 6-6 record as a senior, leading the team with five rushing touchdowns, nine receiving TDs, 94 total points, and four interceptions. His 21 career picks are a program record.
Miami (OH), located in Oxford, finished 6-7 last year, including a season-opening loss at Kentucky. The Redhawks had a record of 4-4 in the Mid-American Conference.
After putting pen to paper, Mercer spoke about his college choice.
