
The Christian County Lady Colonel Track and Field team opened the 2023 season with a fifth-place finish Saturday at the Henderson County Colonel Classic.
The Lady Colonels scored 81 points – three points behind fourth-place Hopkinsville and six points behind third-place Madisonville. Henderson County won the event with 166 points.

Julia Munoz – 1st in the 300-meter hurdles (57.02); 3rd in the long jump (13-07.50)
Katieann Thompson – 2nd in the 400-meter dash (1:08.12)
Jayda Johnson – 2nd in the 100-meter dash (14.53); 3rd in the 200-meter dash (30.04)
Kaidence Atwell – 2nd in the 200-meter dash (29.92); 3rd in the 100-meter dash (14.81)
Simyria Brown – 5th in the 400-meter dash (1:11.53)
Debony Anderson – 7th in the 800-meter run (3:19.89)
Maeby Irving – 13th in the 800-meter run (3:26.21)
The 1600-meter relay team of Brown, Johnson, Thompson, and Munoz won the race in 4:46.58.
The 800-meter relay team of Atwell, Stewart, Wilfong, and Lewis finished in second place in 2:01.
The 400-meter relay team of Wilfong, Stewart, Lewis, and Brown came in seventh place in 1:02.78.
