A Hopkinsville Tiger who played a big part in the Tigers reaching back-to-back 2nd Region championship games will get the chance to continue his career on the collegiate level. In a social media post Monday, Bubba Leavell announced that he would be attending Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas.
During his senior season at Hopkinsville, Leavell averaged 14.9 points a game for the Tigers. Leavell made 51 threes and shot just over 35 percent from behind the arc. He was also Hoptown’s best free throw shooter, knocking down 79 percent of his shots at the line.
Highland Community College is a member of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. The Scotties finished the 2022-2023 season with a record of 14-16.
