
Less than 48 hours after losing a tough contest to Russellville in the 4th Region All A Classic softball regional championship game, the Todd County Central Lady Rebels got things rolling again Monday. The Lady Rebels got a three-hit shutout from Abby McPherson in the circle as Todd Central cruised to a 10-0 win at Clarksville Northeast.
McPherson struck out eight and walked one as she overpowered Northeast batters.
The Lady Rebels scored a run in the top of the second to take the early 1-0 lead. Averie Luckenbill came up with an RBI single in the fifth to extend the lead to 2-0.
Two Northeast errors to start the top of the sixth inning opened the door for the Lady Rebels to score two more runs and move the lead out to 4-0. Todd County Central (6-4) then blew the game open with six runs in the top of the seventh. The Lady Rebels came up with six hits in the inning to put the game away.
Averie Luckenbill had a big day going 4-5 with 3 RBIs and a run scored. Dakotah Gammon finished the game 2-3 with 2 RBIs and two runs scored.
