Playing early in the day in Florida apparently agrees with the Todd County Central Rebels. After wrapping up the 4th Region All A Classic championship just before midnight Saturday night, the Rebels were up early Monday morning in the Sunshine State and freed up some extra time in their day with 19-0 rout of Carlisle, Ohio.

The Rebels came out and put up a five spot in the bottom of the first, scoring in a multiplicity of ways. Todd Central scored by base hit, error, bases-loaded walk, and a balk in the inning to take a 5-0 lead.

Todd Central then officially blew the lid off the game in the bottom of the third with a 14 run inning. A total of 19 Rebels came to the plate during the inning. Preston Rager, Nate Reding, Devin Schutt, and Zach Robinson had RBI hits in the inning. In fact Reding had two with an RBI single and and RBI double.

Carlisle did not score in the top of the 4th and the game ended due to the mercy rule.

On the mound, Zach Robinson did not allow Carlise to get anything started. Robinson went four innings, giving up no hits, striking out seven and walking one.

Nate Reding led the Rebels going 2-3 with 4 RBIs and three runs scored. Devin Schutt was 2-4 with 2 RBIs and three runs scored.

Todd County Central (7-2) also took advantage of the generosity of Carlisle, who was charged with five errors in the game.
