Rylee Hendricks’ Big Day Sparks Lady Wildcats Past Hazard

The Trigg County Lady Wildcat offense was in high gear in Eastern Kentucky Wednesday. The Lady Wildcats broke out the big sticks and rapped out 18 hits on the way to a 14-3 win at Hazard.

Trigg County (5-6) plated two in the first, five in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth, and three more in the sixth to reach the 10-run rule in the game. In addition to their 18 hits, the Lady Wildcats also took advantage of four Hazard errors.

Rylee Hendricks led the offensive effort for the Lady Wildcats. Hendricks ended the day 4-5 with a home run, a double, three RBIs, and three runs scored.

Avery Wade was 3-3 with 3 RBIs. Kady Fuller also had three hits for the Lady Wildcats. Veyda Grinois finished 2-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

In the circle, Avery Wade went all six innings and picked up the win. She gave up three runs on seven hits, striking out three while walking two.

Trigg County continues its tour of the Bluegrass Friday when the Lady Wildcats take on Pike County Central.
