The University Heights Academy Blazers are on to the semifinals of the 2nd Region All A Classic baseball tournament. The Blazers advanced by handling Heritage Christian 16-1 in a three-inning contest Monday evening.
Three Blazer pitchers combined to throw a three-inning no-hitter. Freshman Bryson Turner got the start and went two innings, picking up the win. He gave up no runs on no hits, striking out four and walking none.
University Heights settled the issue early in this one. The Blazers scored five times in the bottom of the first and added eleven runs in the bottom of the second. UHA used nine hits to score their sixteen runs in the game.
Ty Hunt was 2-2 with a double, 4 RBIs, and two runs scored. Ian Tyler was 2-2 with a double, 2 RBIs, and two runs scored. Luke Shouse was also 2-2 for UHA with a double, 2 RBIs, and two runs scored.
Bradley Boyd drove in the only run for the Warriors with a ground out in the top of the third inning.
