Preston Rager tossed a three-hit shutout and went three for four at the plate to lead the Todd County Central Rebels to a 7-0 victory over hosts Madisonville-North Hopkins on Tuesday.
In their first outing since returning from a spring break trip to Florida, the Rebels put an end to a four-game slide to improve to 8-6. Madisonville lost for the first time in three games to slip to 2-12 on the season.

A five-run 5th finished off the scoring, beginning with an RBI single by Nate Reding. Gavyn Nolan drove in a pair with a single, Brandon drove in his second run with a sacrifice fly, and Nolan came home on an error for the final margin.
Rager scattered three hits with four walks and eight strikeouts on the way to his first win of the season. Nolan finished three for three at the plate with a pair of RBI, and four other Rebels had a hit.
Aaron Hogart took the loss for the Maroons, allowing six earned runs on six hits with five walks and six strikeouts.
