Madisonville-North Hopkins picked up a 4-2 win over Hopkinsville Thursday in tennis action under the stars at Ruff Park.
Spencer Powell had a hand in both of Hoptown’s wins. He defeated Ethan Larkins 7-5, 7-5 in a match that neared two hours.
Powell also teamed with Jacob Mendoza to nab an 8-3 doubles win over Braeden Bell and Karson Starks.
In the other doubles match, Larkins and Gavin Bunch (MNHHS) outlasted Blount and Marvel 6-4, 7-5.
In singles’ play, Jett Lutz (MNHHS) outlasted VeShawn Blount 8-5. Eli Pinkerton (MNHHS) defeated Tim Marvel 8-2, and Aiden Clark (MNHHS) beat Mendoza 8-3.
