Trigg County High School has named Madison Rogers as the next head coach of the volleyball program. The school made the announcement Friday.

Rogers played volleyball at Hopkinsville High School and the Trigg County job will be her first as a head coach.  She is employed as a first-grade teacher at Trigg County Primary School.

Rogers has a tall task ahead of her. The Trigg volleyball program has struggled recently and has not advanced to the region tournament since 2018. The program’s last district title came in 2017.

Trigg County was 1-32 last year, establishing a new mark for losses in a season. The program suffered from roster turnover throughout the season under former coach Stephen Erdmann, who stepped down after a 6-59 record in two seasons.
