
Going into the bottom of the fourth inning, it felt like the Christian Count Colonels were in trouble. Daviess County had just scored two runs in the top of the inning and it felt like the Panthers had control of the game with a 7-3 lead. So much for feelings.
Christian County scored the final six runs of the game, including four in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Colonels came from behind to take a 9-7 win over Daviess County. The win was the third straight for the Colonels.
The Colonel rally got underway in the bottom of the fourth as Christian County was the recipient of not one, but two bases-loaded walks from the Panthers, cutting the 7-3 lead in half at 7-5.

In the sixth, Elijah Underhill started the final rally by reaching base on an error. Gage Montes followed that up with a double to left. Carter Sholar then put the Colonels in the lead blasting a three-run homer to center field. Christian County would add an insurance run with the aid of a Daviess County error to head into the seventh with a 9-7 lead.
Preston Phan then set the Panthers down in order in the seventh to secure the win for the Colonels.
The top of the order for the Colonels was the story of the day. Elijah Underhill was 3-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Gage Montes was also 3-4 with a double and a run scored. Carter Sholar ended up 1-4 with the home run, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Those three hit 1-2-3 in the order Saturday for the Colonels.
Preston Phan picked up the win in relief for Christian County. He went four innings, giving up two runs on three hits, striking out two, and walking two.
With the win, the Colonels improve to 10-8 on the season.
