
The Todd County Central Lady Rebels had a full day of activity on the diamond Saturday. The Lady Rebels were in Clarksville for the annual Queen City Classic and ended their day with three wins and one loss.
The opener saw the Lady Rebels take an 11-1 loss against Nolensville. The Lady Rebels scored a run in the bottom of the first but saw the Knights come back to score 11 unanswered over the next five innings. Todd Central was limited to just one hit in the game, that coming off the bat off Abby Williams.
Todd Central rebounded from that tough loss by picking up an 8-4 win over Stewart County. The Lady Rebels trailed 3-0 after one, but came back with five runs over the next two innings to take the lead for good.
Five Lady Rebels had two hits as Todd Central rapped out 13 total hits in the game. Abby Williams, Addison Woodall, Naomi Welborn, Karli Herrera, and Dakotah Gammon, all had two hits for the Lady Rebels. Welborn and Gammon added two RBIs each. Addison Woodall went 4 2/3-innings to get the win, allowing just one earned run on seven hits, striking out one and walking one.
The third game of the day saw the Lady Rebels roll to an easy 9-0 win over Sycamore. The Lady Rebels did all of their damage in the bottom of the third, scoring nine runs in a game that was limited to four innings due to time limits. The first eight Todd Central batters all reached base safely in the big inning.
Addison Woodall and Abby McPherson both went 2-3 on the game. Karli Herrera was 2-2. Woodall and Dakotah Gammon had two RBIs each. In the circle, Abby McPherson went three innings to get the win, giving up no runs on two hits, striking out one and walking none.
The final game of the busy day saw the Lady Rebels take a 3-0 lead and then hold on for a 3-1 six-inning win over Jo Byrns. Todd Central scored all three runs in the bottom of the third. Big hits in the inning came from Addison Woodall and Abby Williams. Jo Byrns would rally to cut the lead to 3-1 in the top of the 5th but that was as close as they would get.
Abby Williams and Addison Woodall had two hits each to lead the Lady Rebels. Williams, Woodall, and Abby McPherson had one RBI each. In the circle, McPherson went six innings to get the win, giving up one run on two hits, striking out one and walking none.
