Lady Colonels Finish in 7th Place at Fort Campbell Invite

Christian County took a partial squad to Fort Campbell to compete in the Coach Johnson Memorial Classic Saturday. The Lady Colonels scored 40 points to finish in 7th place, 11 more than Kenwood and 15 points fewer than sixth place West Creek.

FIELD EVENTS

Julia Munoz won the long jump with a personal best distance of 15 feet, 5.25 inches. It was the Lady Colonels’ lone individual win of the day.

SPRINTS

Katieann Thompson finished in third place in the 400-meter run with a personal best of 1:02.48. It was the fastest 400 time for a Lady Colonel in five years.

Symeria Brown finished in 10th place in the 400-meter dash in a personal best time of 1:06.96.

Kaidence Atwell finished ninth in the 100-meter dash in 14.37 seconds.

Jayda Johnson was 13th in the 100-meter dash in 14.67 seconds and 15th in the 400 meters in a time of 1:09.87.

Destiny Lewis was 14th in the 100-meter dash in a personal best time of 14.69 seconds and finished in 18th place in the 200 meters in 31.23 seconds.

RELAYS

The 1600-meter relay team of Symeria Brown, Katieann Thompson, Jayda Johnson, and Kaidence Atwell won with a time of 4:24.71.

The 800-meter relay team of Kaidence Atwell, Destiny Lewis, Katieann Thompson, and Symeria Brown came in fourth place in 1:54.10.

The 400-meter relay team of Kaidence Atwell, Destiny Lewis, Jayda Johnson, and Katieann Thompson was fifth in 54.60 seconds.

HURDLES

Julia Munoz took fourth place in the 300-meter hurdles with a personal best of 53.72 seconds.
