Two 2nd Region players have been selected to be on the boys Kentucky All-Star team that will play against the Indiana All-Stars in the annual summer battle. The announcement of the team came Friday morning.
Madisonville-North Hopkins Marcus Eaves and Henderson County’s Gerard Thomas were selected for the boys’ roster.
Eaves led the Maroons in scoring during the 2022-23 season at 20 points per game. He was third on the team in rebounds at 6.6 per game.
Thomas finished the year averaging 18.1 points for Henderson County. Thomas also led the Colonels in rebounds, averaging 8.2 per contest.
The team will be coached by Owensboro’s Rod Drake.
The Kentucky/Indiana All-Star Games are Saturday, June 10 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
