
Caldwell County’s girls rallied from an early 4-0 deficit to post an 8-5 victory Monday night at Crittenden County.
A three-run fifth inning put the Lady Tigers in front for the first time at 7-5. Caldwell added another run in the sixth.
Brylee Butts was 3-for-4 with a run batted in while Laney Jones was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs. Alexis Wood went 2-for-4 with a double while knocking in a pair of runs. Harper Holeman finished 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Meanwhile, Wood (9-7) tossed all seven innings and allowed three earned runs on four base hits. She struck out four and walked none.
Caldwell outhit Crittenden 12-4.
The Lady Rockets (8-9) had taken the lead with four runs in the bottom of the first inning and still led 5-4 through three innings.
Caldwell (11-8) has won three straight games.
The Lady Tigers will go to Madisonville-North Hopkins for 7th District action on Tuesday.
