Sometimes it just takes one little thing, or two to get it all started. The game was a scoreless tie heading into the bottom half of the fifth when the floor fell out from under Crittenden County. Avery Adcock walked and then scored on an outfield error by the Lady Rockets to make it 1-0. Karlee Crick singled and drove in Saniya Shields, who had reached base on the error, to make it 2-0.
Three batters later, another Crittenden County error allowed two more runs to come in and extend the lead to 4-0. Jada Turner then ended the big rally with an RBI single to put the Lady Colonels in front 5-0.
Brylee Conyer got one of the runs back for the Lady Rockets in the top of the 6th with an RBI single.
Christian County then put the game away for good with three more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Gracie Harned put a three-run shot over the left field fence to run the lead out to 8-1.
Crittenden County added a run in the top of the seventh but there would be no big comeback in this one for the Lady Rockets.
