On the day she opens play in the 2nd Region tennis tournament seeking her third straight trip to the state tournament, Hopkinsville’s Ella Brown signed to continue her tennis and academic career on the collegiate level. Brown officially signed with Kentucky Wesleyan College during a ceremony Monday morning at Hopkinsville High School.

Brown, along with doubles partner Morgan Woosley, begin play in the regional tournament Monday afternoon in Henderson.

After losing her freshman season to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brown and her doubles partner Grasen Givens qualified for the state tournament in 2021. The duo won their first match before falling to the #9 seed in the tournament in the second round.

Last year, Brown and Givens returned to the state tournament but fell in the opening round.

Kentucky Wesleyan College is an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
