
The two teams that have been at the top of 2nd Region softball this season have drawn into the same side of the regional tournament bracket. The draw took place virtually Wednesday afternoon.
The tournament will get underway with one game Thursday evening, as Henderson County, the champions of the 6th District will take on the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons, the runners-up out of the 8th District.
The rest of the quarterfinal-round games will be played Saturday.
The 3pm game Saturday will find Crittenden County, champions of the 5th District taking on 6th District runner-up Union County.
At 5pm Saturday, 8th District champion Christian County will take on 7th District runner-up Caldwell County.
The final game Saturday, at 7pm, will have 7th District champion Madisonville-North Hopkins taking on 5th District runner-up Lyon County.
Semifinals are set for Monday at 530pm and 730pm. The 530pm game will have the winner of the Christian County/Caldwell County game taking on the winner of the Crittenden County/Union County game. The late semifinal will have the winner of Henderson/Fort Campbell taking on the winner of Madisonville-North Hopkins Lyon County.
The day and time of the championship game is to be determined, depending on the teams that make the final, due to graduation ceremonies next week across the area.
The tournament is being played at Hopkins County Central High School.
