Two 2nd Region players were among five players to hit double figures for the Kentucky Junior All-Stars Saturday afternoon but it was not enough to overcome the firepower of the Kentucky Senior All-Stars. All eight players for the seniors reached double figures, including two from the 2nd Region, as the seniors handled the juniors 144-100 in a game played at Louisville Eastern High School.
The juniors shot just 37.5-percent from the field for the game. They actually shot better from behind the line, where they hit 17 of 45 for 37.8-percent.
The game was over early as the seniors took a 70-39 halftime lead. The juniors could not find the range from the field in the opening half, connecting on just 28.3-percent of their field goal attempts.
Lyon County’s Travis Perry was one of three players for the juniors to score 13 points in the game. He also had six rebounds and four assists.

Christian County’s Derrell Bateman came off the bench to score 10 points. He also had two rebounds and two assists in the contest.
Madisonville’s Marcus Eaves scored 18 points for the Senior All-Stars. Henderson County’s Gerard Thomas finished with 15 points.
