Tate VanHooser Headed to Kentucky Wesleyan

A former Caldwell County High School baseball player has a new college home.

After a year at Motlow State in Tullahoma, Tennessee, former Tiger Tate VanHooser has announced that he will continue his college baseball career at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro.

VanHooser is a 2021 Caldwell County grad. He is Caldwell County’s all-time home run leader with 15. He also owns the single-season home run record with the Tigers, hitting 10 as a sophomore in the 2019 season.

VanHooser started his college career at Rend Lake College, spending one season at the Ina, Illinois, school before moving on to Motlow State.

VanHooser has two years of college eligibility remaining.
