Former Lincoln County High School basketball standout Maddy Boyle is hosting a basketball clinic Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon at Junction City Baptist Church (3860 Hwy 127-S).
Boyle averaged 9.3 points, 1.9 assists, 1.6 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 23.2 minutes per game last season when Campbellsville University went 31-3 and advanced to the NAIA quarterfinals.
She shot 45 percent overall and 87 percent at the foul line. She played in a combined 39 games as a sophomore and junior after transferring to Campbellsville.
The camp is for players in kindergarten through eighth grade. Cost is $40 per player and $35 for each additional child in the family. Payment will be accepted Saturday at the camp.
Bailey Pedigo, Boyle’s teammate at Campbellsville, will also work the camp. Pedigo, who played at Barren County High School, averaged 6.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game last season. Pedigo is also president of the FCA chapter at Campbellsville and was the basketball team captain.
Kentucky’s Emma King, Boyle’s teammate at Lincoln County, will also be at the camp. King is taking her COVID year and will play her fifth season at Kentucky this year.
King, a three-star recruit, scored over 2,500 points and had over 750 rebounds in high school. She has played in 70 games at Kentucky, including 50 the last two seasons.
