Brenna Sherman of Madisonville-North Hopkins has been named the Second Region Player of the Year by the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association.
The senior hit .527 with 12 home runs and 39 RBI during the 2023 season. 37 of her 49 hits went for extra bases. She also was a perfect 15-for-15 in stolen bases.
Sherman has signed to play college softball at Lipscomb University.
Meanwhile, Webster County’s Jason Scott was named region coach of the year after leading the Lady Trojans to a 15-10 record and a 12-7 mark against region schools.
