Caldwell County High School has turned to a former 1st Region head coach and a former Christian County assistant to fill the school’s vacant head girls’ basketball coach position. Former Calloway County Lady Lakers’ coach David Brown confirmed to YourSportsEdge.Com that he will be taking over the Lady Tiger program for the 2023-2024 season.

Brown spent the 2022-2023 season coaching the Lady Lakers to an 8-18 record. Calloway County lost to Christian Fellowship in the opening round of the 4th District tournament.

Brown’s Calloway County team picked up a 66-42 win over Caldwell County back on January 13.

Prior to taking the Calloway County job, Brown had served as an assistant with the Christian County Lady Colonels and the Hopkinsville Tigers.

Brown replaces Chuck Mitchell, who took over the Caldwell County boys’ program after Daniel Kukahiko became principal at Caldwell County High School.
