It turned out to be a pretty good trip to Franklin Monday for University Heights Academy golfer Conlee Lindsey. Lindsey picked up a second-place finish at the Bluegrass Golf Tour event that was played at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Golf Course.
Lindsey shot a 40 on the front nine and then shaved a stroke off that on the back nine for a round of seven-over-par 79.
That score placed Lindsey four shots behind Sydney McClanahan, of Bowling Green, who took medalist honors in the girls 15-18 age group with a round of 75.
Jenna Harston, of Bowling Green, finished in third place with a round of 87.
