The summer basketball schedule continues to stay active with the dead period coming up at the end of the week. A large gathering of girls’ teams was in Bowling Green Monday for Western Kentucky University’s team camp.

The Christian County Lady Colonels were ‘on the Hill’ for a couple of summer games Monday evening. In their opener, the Lady Colonels took on Madison, Ohio, and came away with a 31-25 win.

The second game of the evening in their trip to BG found Christian County matched up against another Ohio team, Taylor County. This one was another tight contest, with the Lady Colonels again coming out on top with a 35-30 win to finish their trip at 2-0.

Christian County will be on campus again Tuesday and Wednesday, this time to the west as they take part in team camp at Murray State University.

The dead period for high school sports in Kentucky starts Sunday.
