He might not be a name you have heard a lot but Kentucky wasted no time convincing Pennsylvania receiver David Washington Jr. to commit after his recent scholarship offer.
The Philadelphia prep star had offers from Cincinnati, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan State, Mississippi, Penn State, Tennessee, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin and others.
Kentucky’s primary recruiter was receivers coach Scott Woodward and Washington only took official visits to Kentucky (June 6) and Virginia.
The 6-0, 180-pound Washington is rated a four-star recruit by Rivals and No. 69 receiver nationally in the 2024 recruiting class. On3 Industry Ranking has him as the 119th best receiver and No. 21 player in Pennsylvania.
He posted that he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds at a college showcase.
Washington is the 14th commitment in UK’s 2024 recruiting class that also includes four-star quarterback Cutter Boley of Lexington.
