Emma Talley Rallies Under the Cutline at Dana Open

With just three holes remaining in her second round on Friday, Emma Talley found herself on the wrong side of the cutline at the Dana Open in Sylvania, Ohio.

Bogeys on holes 2 and 6 (her 11th and 15th holes of the day) had Talley at even-par overall with the projected cutline at 1-under-par.

But the Caldwell County grad came up with a birdie on the par-5 7th hole to join a lengthy list of golfers right on the cutline. She then removed any doubt with another birdie on her final hole, the par-4 9th, to move to 2-under overall.

Talley has carded 1-under 70s in each of the first two rounds of the LPGA Tour event.

That has her tied for 43rd entering Saturday’s third round.

Talley’s round on Friday included three birdies total along with the two bogeys.

Talley is scheduled to begin play Saturday morning at 9:38 a.m. Eastern time alongside playing partners Wei-Ling Hsu and Elizabeth Szokol.

Annie Park tops the leaderboard at 11-under after rounds of 68 and 63 on Thursday and Friday.
