Landon Hunt proved steady again on the golf course as he brought home the GO Series Junior Golf Southern championship Thursday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
Hunt shot a 2-over 73 to defeat Madisonville’s Gavin Sheets by two shots and Hopkinsville’s Joey Falco by three shots to win the 16-18 age division.
Hunt, who won the Region 2 high school championship last year at Christian County, will play this fall at McCracken County following a family move.
Falco’s round of 78 netted him a top-three finish and a second-place finish on the tour for the summer. Falco will be a senior at Hopkinsville High this fall.

Max Clayton and Austin Crick – both of Madisonville – shot a 79 as did Caldwell County’s Collin Whittington and Andrew Riggs of Hopkinsville.
Thomas Grise of Hopkinsville shot an 87 to finish in 17th place. Talan Ezell, who plays at Christian County, shot a 101 to finish in 20th place.
Hopkinsville’s Ryan Martin shot an 83 to win the 13-15 age division by two shots over Madisonville’s Trey Raymer.
