Talley-Shadoff Team Tied for 2nd at Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational

Emma Talley and Jodi Ewart Shadoff are in contention at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational in Midland, Michigan.

The Caldwell County grad and the Englishwoman shot the low round of the day on Thursday with a bogey-free 10-under-par 60.

The team is tied for second entering the third round Friday.

Paula Reto and Amelia Lewis shot a 9-under 61 in best ball play Thursday at Midland Country Club to take the lead at 14-under par overall.

Talley and Shadoff are at 13-under after 36 holes. They are tied with first round leaders and last year’s runners-up Matilda Castren and Kelly Tan.

Talley and Shadoff have played this event together three times with a best finish of T31.

The duo started hot in Thursday’s second round and quicky moved up the leaderboard after opening the day in a tie for seventh. Talley and Shadoff had seven birdies over their first 11 holes.

Thirty-seven teams made the cut at 3-under and will be playing foursomes again today.

This is Talley’s 12th start of the year and Shadoff’s 14th event of the season.

Talley is looking for her first Top-10 finish this year.

Talley and Shadoff will play in the final group in Friday’s third round, with a tee time of 11:50 a.m. Eastern time.

This week’s event on the LPGA Tour has a purse of $2.7 million. The winning team will split $656,230 ($328,115 each).
