Caldwell County’s girls were less than a minute away from a scrimmage win in soccer action Tuesday night at Butler Stadium in Princeton.
But Owensboro found the net with just 32 seconds to play as the teams left the pitch with a 1-1 draw.
Caldwell had taken a 1-0 lead over the Lady Devils on Addie Middleton’s goal in the 23rd minute.
Middleton found the far part of the net from the left side for the Lady Tiger goal.
Caldwell is still missing three players who are at Governor’s Scholars and two players are out with injuries.
The Lady Tigers will travel to Owensboro next Tuesday to face the Apollo E-gals in their final scrimmage.
Caldwell’s girls will start the regular season on Aug. 8 with a home match against Webster County.
