Trinity Beth picked up where she left off in 2022 – with a win.
The Marshall County sophomore and defending state champion won the Marshall County Invitational Tuesday at the Calvert City Country Club. Her score of 2-under-par 70 was the only one in the red for the day.
She defeated her teammate Katie Roberts and Madisonville’s Karra Tucker by four shots.
McCracken County’s Sophie Hollowell was fourth with a four-over-par 76.
Beth and Roberts helped the Lady Marshals win the team title by 49 shots over second-place Daviess County, a team expected to contend for the Region 2 title this fall.
