Eight University of Kentucky basketball players will be taking part in the La Familia Autograph Tour across the state Friday through Sunday at select Kroger supermarket locations.

Tickets cost $60 per person at each location and includes entry for one person and allows that person to bring only one item to be signed by all players present at that location. Tickets can be purchased at the door via cash, credit card, check, or Venmo.

A portion of net proceeds along with all sponsor proceeds from Kroger and Simple Truth will benefit the Mayfield Flood Relief mission.

Current players that will be on the tour are Aaron Bradshaw, Justin Edwards, Tre Mitchell, Reed Sheppard, Adou Thiero, Jordan Burks, Walker Horn and Grant Darbyshire.

It certainly seems like an encouraging sign about Bradshaw, the 7-foot freshman who missed the four games in Canada after having foot surgery in early June, being part of the team that he’s going to be at tour stops at Somerset, Shelbyville and Versailles.

Scholarship players not scheduled to be on the tour are Antonio Reeves, DJ Wagner, Rob Dillingham, Ugonna Onyenso and Joey Hart. No reason was given in the release from ProCamps about how the players who are attending were picked.

Bradshaw, Sheppard, Burks and Darbyshire will be at these Kroger locations: 50 Stonegate Center, Somerset, Friday, 4-6 p.m.; 311 Boone Station Rd., Shelbyville, Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon; and 212 Kroger Way, Versailles, Sunday, 2-4 p.m.

Edwards, Thiero, Mitchell and Horn will be at these Kroger stores: 300 Trademark Center, Morehead, Friday, 4-6 p.m.; 9449 Brownsboro Rd., Louisville, Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon; and 3175 Beaumont Centre Circle, Lexington, Sunday, 2-4 p.m.

  1. I rarely if ever long for days gone by(the rear view mirror is small for a reason) but I do miss the annual scrimage that the Cats use to have at Freedom Hall. You could get the entire teams autoghraph(for free) and enjoy some fellowship with BB faithful at little to no cost. Heck I am even on a UK official video getting an autograph from Mashburn and making him laugh(I use to have that video tape but lost it in a move). I still have the poster he signed though.

I hope they restore the BBM campout to it’s former glory not the BS Sham that it was last year. Then the BB faithful could meet the team and get autographs for the cost of showing up. But I am going to assume that due to NIL’s that won’t happen ever again.

I love this team(I say that every year) and can’t wait to see them play. But FB is 1st on my mind right now.

    Go Cats!

  2. Absolutely pathetic and I would never pay a nickel to get a autograph from a college basketball player and they want to charge $60 just to hobnob with these future millionaires! It’s ridiculous it’s all about money now I have nothing more to do with it I couldn’t give two s**** where the Kentucky ever wins another basketball game because of their greed

    1. I agree, the $60 is border line insanity, and for a autograph from a freshman basketball player?!!!! Also, why not give all of the net proceeds to the flood relief effort if the sponsors are doing just that per the article? That would make sense. No, can’t do that! Help me here, sounds like a "rip off." How about a few freebies for the poor fans every now and then Kentucky. Just line up these basketball boys outside a nice place on campus, put out a donation box the size of a mailbox and collect for the flood victims that way.
