Maroons Take 2nd in Own Madisonville Invitational

Madisonville-North Hopkins claimed second place in its own tournament on Saturday.

The Maroons carded a team score of 303 in the Madisonville Invitational at Lakeshore Country Club.

Bowling Green took top team honors with a 297.

Marshall County placed third with a 308.

Marshall’s D.J. Morris was medalist, shooting a 69, then birdying the first hole of a playoff.

Bowling Green’s Reed Richey finished second while teammate Ben Davenport was third. Both of those players shot 69s as well.

Paul Harris had the top round for Madisonville with a 71, putting him fourth.

Gavin Sheets shot 74 for the Maroons and placed fifth.

Also for the Maroons, both Austin Crick and Treyson Raymer finished at 79.

Max Clayton shot an 84 for Madisonville.
