Over the past two seasons, despite some regular season struggles, the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado have reached the Class 3A state championship, in 2021, and the third round of the playoffs, in 2022, where they lost a heartbreaker to eventual state champion Christian Academy of Louisville. Speaking at Saturday’s Media Day at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex, Coach Sean Thompson spoke about Tilghman being on the verge and the expectations of success, even with the move up to Class 4A this season.
