
The University Heights Academy golf team brought home a top-10 finish Monday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club Boys’ Invitational.
Jaxin Pollack had the top score of the day for the Blazers with a 9-over-par 80. He began his day with three straight pars and went out with a 41. He birdied the par-4 15th hole and added a par on No. 17. He finished in a tie for 20th place.
Wade Foster carded an 81 to tie for 24th place. He made par on six straight holes on the front nine to go out at 40. Foster came in at 41.
Hayden Hunt shot an 88. His round included a birdie on the par-5 sixth hole.
Cal Givens added an 89 with a birdie on the par-4 ninth hole.
Courtland Gibson shot an 89 that included a birdie as part of a 42 on the back nine.
Landon Hunt of McCracken County and St. Mary’s Aidan Hahn each shot a 2-under 69. Hunt won the title on the second playoff hole.
As a team, UHA finished in ninth place out of 19 teams with a score of 338. McCracken County totaled 308 points to score a 16-shot win over Ohio County.
