For the Ezell sisters, the scores don’t matter now as the Christian County golfers learn the game and help rebuild what is now the golf program at Christian County High and eventually the new Hopkinsville-Christian County Academy.
Both golfers were part of the field for Tuesday’s Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club Girls Invitational.
Allie, a freshman, cut her teeth in the sport last year, representing the Lady Colonels at the regional tournament in Henderson.
She finished in 55th place as she works to take her score lower with each outing.
Alyse, a 7th grader, is new to the sport and played her first 18-hole event Tuesday. She finished in 62nd place.
The sisters give first-year coach Stacy Crick some clay to mold for future years. Crick said her next goal is to find them some teammates as University Heights Academy is the only high school in Christian County that can field a full, four-player team.
