The Hopkinsville Tigers wrapped up the soccer preseason Thursday night with a tough loss to the Murray Tigers. The Tigers from the west side of the lakes scored early and often on their way to a 10-0 win over Hopkinsville.
Murray scored at the 4:00, 6:00, 8:00, and 9:30 to bolt out to a 4-0 lead. Goals at the 15:15 and 18:40 extended the lead to 6-0. That would be the score at the break.
The western Tigers then closed out the match with 4-0 blitz over the opening ten minutes of the second half.
Hopkinsville will officially open the 2023 soccer season Monday when they travel across town to take on Heritage Christian in an 8th District matchup.
