
Collin Whittington shot a 73 to lead Caldwell County’s golfers in action at the Christian County Invitational on Friday.
Participants battled heavy rains, soggy conditions and a weather delay at Western Hills Golf Course in Hopkinsville.
Carter Whittington had the next lowest round for the Tigers with an 89.
Cole Wyatt had a 95, Ryan Hammett 98 and Scott Cortner 99.
Caldwell had a team score of 355.
Despite the conditions, three players still managed to card 68s on Friday.
Greenwood’s Jacob Lang took first when he birdied the first hole of a playoff. Ohio County’s Seth Moore was second with Josh Thompson of Henderson County third.
Greenwood took team honors with a 287.
McCracken County was runner-up at 292 led by a 70 from Landon Hunt, who placed fifth individually. Hunt previously was a member of the Christian County golf program.
