
Despite soggy and humid conditions on Friday, the Christian County boys’ golf team hosted 18 other squads at Western Hills Golf Course for the Christian County Invitational.
The Colonels finished 16th with a score of 356, led by an 86 from Tay Martinez. Drew Fincham was a shot back at 87, and Talan Ezell was next for Christian County with a 91.
Jacob Jenkins rounded out the scoring for the Colonels with a 92, and Ricky Brewer shot a 100.
Greenwood’s Jacob Lang fired a 68 and won with a birdie on the first hole of a three-way playoff. Ohio County’s Seth Moore was 2nd, and Henderson’s Josh Thompson finished 3rd.
Greenwood took the team title with a score of 287, edging McCracken County by five strokes.
