
With four golfers scoring in the 70s on Friday at the Christian County Golf Invitational, the Hopkinsville boys’ team overcame soggy conditions to finish 7th with a score of 305.
Greenwood took the top spot behind a 1st-place 68 from Jacob Lang. Lang used a birdie on the first hole to win a three-way playoff with Ohio County’s Seth Moore and Henderson’s Josh Thompson.
Hoptown’s Joey Falco continued his strong play to start the season with a 73 to finish 13th, followed four shots back by Isaiah Wood and Ryan Martin.
Thomas Grise added a 78 to round out the scoring for Hopkinsville, and Andrew Riggs finished with an 83.
The Tiger golfers will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to play in the Paducah Tilghman Invitational.
