After coming back from an early deficit to open the season with a 5-1 victory over Hopkins County Central, the Todd County Central boys’ soccer team again found itself trailing early on Tuesday at Ohio County.
However, there would be no comeback this time, with the Rebels down 3-1 at the half in an eventual three-goal defeat.
Despite controlling the opening ten minutes, Todd Central fell behind after being caught on the counter for the Eagles’ first goal.
Two strikes in two minutes with 15 minutes left in the half extended the lead before the Rebels got a goal back on a Zack Robinson penalty kick to cut the margin to two at the half.

Todd Central turned up the pressure after the break but couldn’t find the back of the net, including coming up empty on multiple 1v1 opportunities with Ohio County goalkeeper Kayden Sandria.
The Eagles got their final goal on a chip over Rebel keeper Ric Garcia-Sears and kept possession of the ball over the last ten minutes to seal the victory.
Brennan Lee and Abe Evans each scored twice for the Eagles, Evans provided two assists, and Sandria earned the win in goal with seven saves.
Todd Central will be back on the road for a matchup with Muhlenberg County on Thursday. The Rebels were 3-0 winners over the Mustangs last season in Elkton.
